Georg Voros School of Drumming (GVSD) founded in 2004 is based in Johannesburg (Randburg) and founded on a tradition of core excellence by renowned drummer and teacher Georg Voros. Our exam students are amongst the highest achievers worldwide with an 85% average Distinction pass rate. At GVSD it’s not enough to merely pass your exam - it’s HOW you pass that matters!
Non-examination students enjoy the same benefits and facilities as exam students. This includes a focused approach on specialist areas like technique, improvisation and musicianship. GVSD is unique in being the only part-time drum school to offer interactive ensemble sessions to our students as this all important facility is usually only available to full-time students at other institutions.

We are now offering specialist peformance focused part-time COURSES. These courses are fun, well structured and suitable for students off all ages and gender. They can also lead to an internationally accredited certificate.

Georg Voros School of Drumming caters for all ages and levels from beginner to advanced. Our teachers have been carefully selected to provide the best quality drum lessons and are professionals with extensive experience in in their field - Onstage and in the studio.
INTERNATIONAL ACCREDITATION
Georg Voros School of Drumming offers internationally recognised music performance qualifications from Grade 1 to Degree level. Grade exam students can use their formal drumming studies towards university entrance. Diplomas offer learning credits recognised by other international music teaching institutions. All our qualifications have ‘real world’ value. |

We're pleased to announce the launch of our KIDS ACADEMY! for students below the age of 12. This facility offers 20 minute and 1/2 hour lessons with qualified teachers dedicated to working with our young stars of tomorrow. FUN orientated!

ALSO FOR KIDS!  Fun filled group drumming sessions. Everyone gets to play a percussion instrument, learn basic rhythms and create an organized noise. Moms and Dads can sit in if they can stand the noise and mayhem!
